Losing You by the John Butler Trio

Posted: March 16th, 2010 | Author: Tj Cafuir | Filed under: Uncategorized | 4 Comments »

Let me be cheesy just this time. This song is dedicated to my girlfriend Katrina of which the song pretty much says what I feel for her. If we’ll get married some day, this is one of the songs that will be playing when photos of our life are flashing up the screen.

There are things in this life I,
Would rather not sacrifice
You girl I cannot live without
And you know there’s no doubt that
All I mind’s losing you

And I don’t mind losing sleep
Pray the lord my soul to keep
I’ll get plenty rest so when I’m dead but ’till,
‘Till then won’t you share my bed ‘cos,
All I mind’s losing you
All I mind’s losing you

And I don’t mind losing money
There’s nothing this life owes me
I’ve been given more than I can receive
But for, for you there’s no receipt so,
All I mind’s losing you
All I mind’s losing you

And I don’t mind growing old
Losing teeth and going bald
Not as handsome as I never was but,
You love me just because
All I mind’s losing you
All I mind’s losing you

And there are things in this life I,
Would rather not sacrifice
You girl I cannot live without
And you know there’s no doubt that
All I mind’s losing you
All I mind’s losing you
All I mind’s losing you

Bob Marley Lives On

Posted: February 6th, 2010 | Author: Tj Cafuir | Filed under: Uncategorized | 3 Comments »

Bob Marley died because of a foot wound he got from playing soccer. The wound got infected with malignant melanoma which eventually spread painfully all over his body including the lungs and brain ultimately ending his life. But actually, Bob had a chance to prevent his early death. All he had to do is have his legs surgically removed to stop the spread. However in the Rastafari religion, the body must be kept as a whole. Of course, Bob refused leg surgery and chose to bear and suffer pain. And still he danced and jumped and sang of peace and unity in his live performances instead of being treated in the best hospitals in the world.

So what did Bob benefit from these hardships and suffering? Simple. He lives on. And today marks his 65th birthday and people from across the globe will be celebrating his life and music. Happy birthday Bob.

YES WE CAN IN 2010!

Is this Times Square? Or is it South Korea? The PEPSI re-branded logo had me confused. Anyway what an awesome place to be at during New Year’s eve. Of course I wasn’t there. I live in the Philippines. But what we have here in my country is the QC Circle where almost the same thing on happens — a lot of pickpocketing. Yeah. And oh, I’ve heard that in Times Square, the “shiny ball watchers” wear adult diapers because there would be no where else to pee? Now that’s really awesome. Balls and diapers. Anyway Happy 2010 everyone. And here’s a promise to meself, more updates on this blog of mine! Yes I can :p
