Moving Lateral
I recently learned that the network is on a roll out for a steady PPC Campaign. Pay Per Click Advertising, for those who have no clue, is the opposite of Organic Search. WTF? Let me explain that in a short paragraph.
Search Engine Marketing has two methods, clients can promote their sites either thru Organic Search or Paid Search. Organic = free ; PPC = paid. Organic is seen as the familiar numbered search result, while PPC is that prominent “sponsored listing” on the upper right hand side of a Google SERP.
Now back to the opening. I really didn’t want to apply for it. PPC, as what I’ve heard, is tedious work. It’s a numbers game. Clients will give you campaign funds ($$$) and you’ll be responsible for their return of investment, search wise. Not unlike organic search, where link building efforts are seen after the next Google update, PPC I believe has the fastest ROI stats.
Nevertheless, I applied for the post. As a year old sworn SEO specialist, I need all the info and experience I can get. If all go well, I can now add another integral SEM skill to my resume. My market value’s gonna soar up now. Like what someone said, KNOWLEDGE IS POWER. Haha, keep on hustlin’ yo!
